ANJA MARAIS

BEGINNING OF THE END TO A RE-BEGINNING

"As an artist, I'm a forager." Anya Marais roams the world, gathering stories and myths from frayed memories and faded hearing to search for and collect forgotten or discarded items covered in rust and decay.

All things - inanimate and animate - contain transformations of personality, and we can hear the world in all things. When an item begins to disintegrate, the essence of its idea is revealed. Anya Marais reinvents these disintegrating objects into sculptures, installations, video works, photography and poetry.

This process revives, transforms, and reinterpret, leading to a new understanding of cultural phenomena of false supremacies and fragmented heritages, which is what the artist calls: Beginning of the End to a Re-beginning.

ANJA MARAIS

Anja Marais is a multidisciplinary artist. She obtained her BFA (Honours) degree from the University of South Africa in 1998. She was recently a finalist for the Harpo Foundation Sponsorship, Ellies Creativity Award, and the Orlando Museum of Contemporary Art Award.

DEVRA FOX

TANGIBLE PRESENCE

As humans, we witness changes in our bodies, emotional awareness, and the natural world every day. Devora Fox is drawn to these great, subtle, uncontrollable processes of change, and the products at the end of that change. She questions and ponders how these changes seep into our bodies and make us attach to places or objects.

She seeks understanding by creating palpable forms of emotion, memory, and relationships, and returns to repetitive, meticulous, and meditative drawing exercises over and over again. Her goal is to combine these states to create art that ranges from the personal to the universal, giving the inanimate a tangible presence.

DEVRA FOX

Devra Fox, born in 1989, received a BA in Studio Art from Bard College in 2012 and an MA in Visual Arts from Columbia University in 2016. Currently lives and works as an artist and educator in San Francisco, California.
She is a visiting artist at Cow House Studios and has exhibited at international art fairs in the US, Germany and China.

LAUREN BAKER

SECRETS OF THE UNIVERSE

Lauren Baker is a British contemporary multidisciplinary artist whose work explores human connections, metaphysics and the vastness of the universe.

Lauren's signature neon work depicts the power of energy through her poetic typography and celestial chakra artwork. Passionate about environmental issues and sustainability, she uses light to express "Secrets of the Universe", aiming to raise the vibration of love and connection within the world.

Her work is conceptually rooted but also aesthetically compelling, making the invisible visible. Laurent's visual style is often built around emitting or reflecting light. Many of her works directly reference frequencies emitted by celestial bodies, as well as those from plants, human organs and chakras.

A sense of mystery and emergence, linked to things beyond the world in front of us, runs through her work.

LAUREN BAKER

Lauren Baker was born in Middlesbrough, England in 1982 and currently lives and works in London. She is an experimental artist whose practice spans multiple disciplines and mediums. Her work explores human connections, metaphysics and the vastness of the universe. And it has been exhibited internationally for many times.

CHARLOTTE ESCHENLOHR

LOVE, BEAUTY AND PIONEER

From Georgia O'Keefe O'Keefe Rose's work is a flower in an erotic context—flowers are often used in paintings as a subtle expression of female sexuality and eroticism.

The use of flowers in the influential artwork of the year expresses Charlotte's contemporary approach to the subject - love, beauty and avant-garde liberty. These works are presented in digital form using various brushstrokes and sprays to express her tactility, using stencils and paints, and are displayed using background works in her paintings and urban street art creations.

She finds her work in the process, themes, and the photographs in her performances and the imagery material produced in her work. In her works, a wide range of female images appeared, representing the image of women, representing the beauty as a typical flower and a real image. Like mass media, the image of modern fashion is a recurring theme. Temperament, sensibility, transparency, yet sensitive and transient..

CHARLOTTE ESCHENLOHR

Charlotte Eros Lohr was born in Munich, studied economics and management and received a Ph.D. She has worked in investment management, management consulting and accountancy. In 2002, he turned into a professional artist and studied under German artist Marcus Lüperz and New York artist Donald Baechler. Charlotte currently lives and works in Munich, Beijing and New York.
